  I've just become a father

  i have been married for 10 years and have two wonderful step kids, 15 and 21. being a jw i did not want a child as life seemed so pointless.

  things changed for the better since leaving and i am now the proud father of a big baby boy zac - 9pounds (4.1kg), 52cm long and huge lungs.

  my wife is filipino so the baby looks very asian at the moment.

  Asked a deep question to my father last night

  im in bed trying to get shut eye and just cant because of this repeating question that i have in my head.

  i know what the answer is to the question, but i need to hear it from the horses mouth.

  so in my 30th hour of being awake i get the courage to dial 411 and call my father whos an elder that i havent spoken to for 10 years.

  Sounds cruel to say that you died. I know I would never want to hear that about one of my kids. But, with the shunning and organized cruelty you are being hit with, I can understand your feelings. What ever happened?

  Hi, I have been up since 7 AM on Tuesday!! Been struggling with adding WinServer2003 to my computer. Then my motherboard took a dump, so I am hanging on like Engineer Scott with m' Ber'ns flyin' aparrrrt.....How are you guys?

  I did before I got baptized. My sissy's dead abusive hasbeen was a real turd tho. He was a regular sanctimonius ass and threatened everyone witht he elders if he didn't get his way. Turns out this punk was doing weed, crank and booze and engaging in gay incest with his brother adn mom.....Amazing.

  How many of you feel you have had more material success AFTER leaving JW

  how many of us since either mentally or physically leaving the witnesses have had more material success ... or any other kind of success that needed time ... the kind that was given back to you when you stopped attending jw meetings.

  you see my mother has come down with a little flu over the past two weekends and this has in proxy allowed me to miss, already, 2 thursday /saturday (book study & field service)/ and sunday meeting.

  in just these two short weeks i have had more time to go online and run my half.com small-time book business, study more for those tests, and live fun.

  Well, We'll have to see. I am back in school right now going after an IT degree. I am also in line for ajob with the Dept of Homeland Security.....I can't imaging I will be worse off financially by this time next year!!

  there was this awesome girl i truly fell infatuated with at 16...laura harris from washington, nc.

  it was mutual, but she was 18, and in dub years those two can be huge!

  missed her for years, and when i think about her, i get a smile with eyes closed....same thing with betsy from dunn many years later.....we were both married and to gooda dubs to be bad with each other....damm it.............................oompa.

  I won't go back....not even for a woman I loved. Good thing I never loved any of them tho. I crushed, but because I had been burned by the kids in the cong, I never felt comfortable enough to even ask out a jw girl. When I started in high school I dated worldly girls from different high schools. I partied with only very few local girls. For sex I always went to Rio Grande, Valley, or Albuquerque High.....No drama for me between classes! HA! Now my siblings were different. They recruited for teh cong. They dated worldly kids but only if they agreed to go to meetings. My brother used to cornhole his gf in her car after the meetings and my sis would blow her bf in our livingroom.....I am not saying I am any better.....I just refused to mix my faith with my crap.

  i went to a spanish congregation and there were different hispanic nationalities and one in particular used to snub, criticize and make fun of the other one.

  very unchristian and so the opposite of what they preached.

  I did in around three different ones. My family was part of the Spanish congs for a long time. But no real decisions could be made without an anglo overlord making it. Then in the English, my brother and I were put to make taco meat for the circuit assembly. Mexicans make tacos the muthuh-Fu**er said.....We walked......

  what have jws got against beards ?

  and it really used to annoy me that jesus and john the baptist both had such neat and well trimmed beards in the watchtower literature , how unlikley would that be in reality ?

  also they never wore a suit so why do "true christians "have to wear one , is all about appearences by any chance and giving a false impression ?

  Tired of the Hypocrisy

  This is actually one of my main reasons for fading away from that bunch. I grow my beard now and have done so off and on since the early 1990s. One of the elders approached me once and suggested that I trim my moustache more along the lines of how elder so-and-so had his trimmed. I asked him why and he said that I should feel lucky to be able to grow one at all. That only Hispanic and Arabic brothers at beth-HELL are allowed moustaches at all. That set me on my research.

  I was looking into the facial hair issue and to this day I hear jw's say that "facial hair is WORLDLY HAIR".... I found scriptures that they use to back up their argument against homosexuals. Not far away there are commands to never cut the sidelocks of the head or the beard. So not only are they hypocritical about beards, but about long hair for men too. I know it says it should not be long like a woman's but my length is not flowing and feminine. especially with my beard.

  Anyway, now I am growing out my hair again to about shoulder length and I cur my full beard to what the locals here call a PADLOCK (the wt always shows criminals with your style of beard they say).....I say FU** 'EM!

  Oh, and to answer your question, I think Rutherford hated beards because they reminded him that he was once little boy to Russell's man.....
